Frequently Asked Questions

Hash rosin is a cannabis concentrate which uses no solvents at all, whatsoever.

It’s the purest, highest-quality, and most-desirable form of hash available.

Fresh, whole buds are frozen at the peak of quality.

They are shaken in a mix of ice and water, which causes the brittle trichomes (active parts of the plant) to come off.

They are collected in a series of fine mesh bags and smushed into cakes.

These cakes are then squeezed in a special press, which uses only a slight amount of heat and a lot of pressure, until a golden, honey-colored oil comes out.

That oil is collected and cured in a cold room until it reaches the perfect consistency.

Oil and water naturally do not want to mix.

Even if you shake them up really well, eventually, they will separate.

An emulsifier is something which allows them to mix.

Cannabis extracts are a type of oil, so they need an emulsifier to mix into any water-based liquid.

Nano emulsification makes the droplets much, much smaller, so they are evenly and smoothly dispersed into a liquid.

For contrast, non-nano emulsified products can drop out of suspension (meaning, they separate again), or they have hotspots (they are concentrated in some parts, but not in others).

Three main interconnected reasons: onset, absorption point, and bioavailability.

Onset means how long it takes to absorb THC.

Nano edibles start working within 15 minutes. Some people report feeling them in under 5 minutes.

Regular edibles can take up to two hours.

Where you absorb THC makes a big difference in how the effects feel.

When you eat nano edibles, they start absorbing in your mouth, so your body processes it as regular, good old-fashioned THC, so it has a similar feeling to smoking or vaping.

When you eat regular edibles, it has to go through your whole digestive tract and is processed by the liver into 11-OH-THC, which feels very different. Some people find it much more unpleasant and unpredictable than THC (not to mention, it takes way, way longer).

Bioavailability means how much of a molecule your body can use.

Digestion is not a perfect process. When a molecule like THC passes through your stomach, the acids in it start breaking it down. The further processing of it by the liver means you only absorb a bit less the 40% of it under ideal conditions.

When you start the absorption earlier, you absorb more of the molecule, since it hasn’t had a chance to be destroyed by stomach acids or modified by the liver.

For a 10mg edible, that means you’ll feel more like 8mg of it with nano, compared to a little less than 4mg with regular edibles.
